USMC Memorial Service: Beirut Lebanon (HD) Ref#: BOF-25-453-74

This color film covers a memorial service that honored Marines killed in the October 1983 barracks bombing in Beirut Lebanon.  It shows U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) Chaplains as they conducted services; 24th Marine Amphibious Unit (MAU) in camouflage dress and flak vests; a small contingent of the French Multi-National Force; and a speech made by Colonel Tim Geraghty. It includes various shots of USMC guards atop roofs, the U.S. flag at half mast, and the French flag.
