The war actually started in 1931 when Japan invaded Manchuria. Hitler and the Nazi party came to power in Germany in 1933. In 1935 Mussolini attack Ethiopia and the next year German and Italian forces are fighting in Spain’s civil war. It was not until the Nazi army invaded Poland on September 1, 1939 and Briton declares war on Germany that America could not longer maintain its isolation. Congress passes the Selective Service Act and America starts mobilizing an army and initiates the Lend Lease Act.
German troops marching into Paris with Arc de Triomphe in background, Hitler arrives by train (Hitler waving from inside train), Hitler rides in an open staff car through the streets of Paris, Hitler views Eiffel tower in the distance. Time approx. Time approximately one (1) - minute.
