Footage of General MacAthur and the signing of surrender documents by the Japanese aboard the USS Missouri.

The war had ended, but what does a conquering army do with 70 million people that have been trained to blindly follow their leaders? The Warlords in Japan had taken advantage of an old religion to brainwash the Japanese people into believing the Sun Goddess created the Japanese people to rule the world. To die for the Sun Goddess was an honor.

This is an excellent film of how the American occupational forces reversed the brainwashing by the warlords, and by example, showed the Japanese people a peaceful way of life.
