Images of Allied forces wading ashore from landing craft on D-Day June 6, 1944 during the Normandy invasion. Various scenes of "Shanty Town", the staging area in England for the men, equipment, and supplies that would be needed for the Normandy invasion. Shows a glider being removed from a shipping crate. Shipping crates used a "living quarters" for the soldiers. Soldiers having "mess" (eating) in a shipping crate. Soldiers getting a haircut in a barber shop located in a shipping crate.

Shows the "Atlantic Wall" an extensive system of coastal German fortifications built by Nazi Germany along the western coast of Europe. Scenes of large coastal gun emplacements. Animated map of the west coast of Europe. Shows the Allied forces Chiefs of Staff (Military Officers) planning the Normandy Invasion with wall map of Europe in BG. Animated map identifies the coast of Normandy as location for the landing of invasion forces.

Shows paratroopers of the 82nd and 101st Airborne loading into buses for transportation to English airfields. Scenes of English buses loaded with airborne troops en-route to secrete airfield in England. Activities of the Airborne troops as they wait to board planes on D-Day minus one.
