This film, on interracial cooperation in the U.S. Army, fights the German propaganda machine’s effort to divide the American Army along racial lines. Scenes depicting the Nazis effort to use race as a weapon to divide the ranks of the white soldier and the black soldier. Scenes of the invasion of fortress Europe.  Scenes of the storm that struck the English Channel destroying the ships and landing areas used to ferry supplies from the ships to the front lines.
 
White and black American troops unloading supplies from ships, bringing supplies ashore in amphibious trucks, stringing telephone wire, using mine detectors, building an airfield, repairing railroad tracks, laying a fuel line, rebuilding the port of Cherbourg, France, unloading supplies at the port, and the trucks and drivers of the Red Ball Express driving supplies to the front lines.
 
Scenes of the all black 332nd Fighter Squadron in action flying cover for B-17 bombers over Germany. Scenes of the 769th Field Artillery supporting the 101st  infantry. Scenes of the all black 761st Tank Battalion loading shells into their tanks, cleaning tanks, relaxing, and in combat.
