Show All WWII European Theater Titles Combat In Bastogne
On December 16, 1944 the Germans launched their Ardennes Offensive that later became known as the Battle of The Bulge. Sweeping toward the Meuse River the German Army encircled Bastogne Belgium which was held by the 101st Airborne.

Supplies are dropped by parachute from C-47 transports to the encircled 101st Airborne Division. Shows the gathering of the supplies, a snow covered wrecked C-47, troops in foxholes and trenches-ground covered by snow, tanks firing, and a soldier using a field telephone. Shows a cold, wounded soldier in a trench, wounded are taken to rear. German prisoners are questioned and taken to rear.

Shows U.S. soldiers and tanks in snowy forest. U.S. Soldiers in foxholes. Soldiers file through a forest, shows a U.S. tank after it strikes a land mine and explodes. The injured crew-members of the tank are carried to the rear and the U.S. dead is buried. Demolished vehicles line snow- covered road.

General McAuliffe and General Collins confer in a snowy street in front of a Bastogne sign on a building. Troops are decorated. Half-track vehicle tows a field gun along a snow covered and icy road followed by American troops.
