Task force of all types of war ships and convoy of transports at sea on way to Peleliu. 1st Marine Division will invade Peleliu, 81st Army Division will take Anguar. Scenes aboard ship D-Day minus 1, men taking a bath and eating a good meal. Alarm sounds and men rush to man battle stations. Shows loading and firing big naval guns, naval bombardment of Japanese held island. Marines in amphibious landing crafts hit the beach under heavy Japanese artillery and mortar fire. Shows first wave of Marines pinned down on beach. Shows carrier aircraft strafing Japanese positions.
