Synopsis: Documents how the Vietnamese Montagnards or Mountain People, primitive tribes living in the central highlands of Vietnam, were trained by U.S. Army Special Forces or U.S. Military Advisors in anti-guerrilla warfare to defend their territories against the Viet Cong Communists in the early 1960’s. The Vietcong used the highlands as the major route to move men and supplies along the Ho Chi Minh trail into South Vietnam. Illustrates the methods used by Army Special Forces to win over these tribesmen to the South Vietnam cause. |
