Synopsis: Documenting a typical day in the life of United States Air Force personnel serving in Vietnam in 1967. Scenes highlight air and ground warfare, air rescue, flight line maintenance, civic action programs, and food service activities. Captured Viet Cong, plane dropping leaflets and broadcast to Vietcong, Viet Cong using a safe conduct pass to surrender, shows Air Force doctors treating civilians in remote area, Air Force Combat control team parachute into a Viet Cong infiltrated area followed by large drop of paratroopers, aircraft attack Viet Cong ground targets, large explosions, pilot ejects from damaged plane and is rescued by the Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Service using a hoist cable and tree penetrator as helicopter hovers. Flag covered coffin is carried onto aircraft. |
