The 6th Infantry Division embarks from Hawaii, image of hula girl dancing. Shows soldiers boarding troop ship with gear, and after landing in New Guinea, marching along the beach and in the rain and mud. Troops moved to Maffin Bay (near Sarmi) and into battle for Lone Tree Hill (also known as the Battle of Wakde-Sarmi). Shows soldiers firing their weapons, jungle fighting combat, dead Japanese soldiers, capture of Lone Tree Hill. More rain and mud in New Guinea.

Troops wade through surf loading to board landing craft for transport to troop ship for movement and landing at Sansapor. Fight to capture airstrip. Planes taking off from repaired airstrip and bomb targets. Ships are loaded for the Philippine invasion. Troops relax and are briefed aboard ship.

Ships battle Japanese planes and shell Luzon (night and day). Rocket ship firing. Troops hit the beach from landing craft. Image of Japanese artillery firing at American troops. Munoz is captured. Shows a night bombardment and resulting Japanese armor losses. The Shimbu Line is attacked; wounded are treated during the battle. American tanks in action. Japanese POWs are captured during mopping up operations.
