A quiet harbor in rural England in July 1944 Sailors playing cards in a U.S. Coast Guard Barracks and a Navy Chaplin typing on a 1940's typewriter. Shows LCI (Landing Craft Infantry), LCVP (Landing Craft Vehicle Personnel), Coast Guard cutter, and hundreds of ships and landing craft in an English harbor protected by barrage balloons. Numerous mock landings by troops along the coast of England while sailors chip paint and maintain the ships. U.S. Sailors on shore leave in an English (British) port lawn bowling with women in military uniforms.
