Victory Bridge - Rhine River
LS, the Victory Bridge that spans the Rhine River at Duisburg, Germany under construction to replace the Dulsburg-Hochfeld Railway Bridge that was blown up by German troops as they retreated from the western bank of the Rhine River March 4, 1945. Shows he wreckage of the old Dulsburg-Hochfeld Railway Bridge to the right of the Victory Bridge. The 332nd Engineers of the U.S. Army ADSEC Engineer Group A completed the Bridge in a record time of six days, fifteen hours, and twenty minutes on May 8, 1945.
