Allied Central Europe Campaign - Mopping Up In Germany

Footage of the Allied Central Europe Campaign and the overrunning of Germany in the final weeks of WWII. The German city of Aschaffenburg is captured after pin-point bombing by Allied dive bombers ahead of the U.S. 3rd Army troops. Shows damaged and destroyed German Army military equipment left along roadways of Germany. People in German towns wave white flag of surrender as tanks of the U.S. Third Army rolls through the towns and villages. Shows the U.S. armored column halting it's advance and deploying to attack a pocket of German resistance.
