Germany is beaten. The war in Europe is over and people around the world celebrate.

Reviews events in the rise and fall of Germany from 1939 to 1945.

Germany attacks Poland in 1939 in its first armed aggression of WWII. England and France declared war. Children are evacuated from London and Paris. Germany invaded Denmark and Norway in 1940. Next is Belgium, Luxemburg, Holland, and France. French citizens leave their cities. Rubble is cleared and factories continue to produce in Britain after English planes down German bombers.

In 1941 Germany attacks Russia (Soviet Union). Scenes of Russian defense and offense against Germany. After Pearl Harbor the world was united against the Axis Powers and American factories began production of war materials for the Allied forces. U.S. troops fight in the Pacific and in Europe, bombing and strafing the enemy. Scenes of war refugees and destruction of the German army.
