At Dunkirk the Canadian Brigade Major in charge granted a 48-hour truce to allow civilians to evacuate before the final onslaught against the German garrison. Shows men, women, and children fleeing Dunkirk. Flashback to wreckage left on the beaches of Dunkirk when the British and other Allied Forces were evacuated in 1940.

Shows people paying tribute to Belgium patriots that died in the German concentration camp at Breendonk, Belgium. Scenes of the Nazi prison camp.

In Holland (the Low Countries) the Germans force civilians onto the roads in an effort to slow the advancing Allied Armies. Heavy artillery paved the way for the advancing Allied Army. Allied tanks and troops move into Germany. Shows General Robert Urquhart arriving to greet his troops.
