Allied troops pour onto Normandy beaches. German prisoners (POW”S) are marched to the beaches and loaded onto landing crafts to be transported back to England. Captured German film shows German coastal defenses before the Normandy invasion. Shows German Generals Rommel and von Runstedt inspecting coastal fortifications in France. Allied Troops are welcomed by the liberated French people. U.S. troops construct airstrips. General Eisenhower and General Marshall are one of the first to land and embark on a tour of the Normandy battlefields. Shows the scattered fleet of gliders that landed Allied troops behind the German lines.

Shows front line first aid station that tends to friends and foe alike. Gun camera footage records Allied planes bombing and strafing German trucks, railroad trains, and emplacements. Winston Churchill and Jan Christian Smuts land on French soil.
