German SS Leader Tried For War Crime Murder

Former Vichy Leader Pierre Laval Is Condemned To Death

In the Palace of Justice in Paris in 1945 Pierre Laval is on trial for treason. Laval, serving as Head of Government in the Vichy Regime after German occupation of France in 1940, signed orders permitting the deportation of foreign Jews from France to Nazi death camps. When denied a request for more time, the Fascist Laval hurls insults at the court and is ordered back to his cell. Pierre Laval is found guilty of high treason and sentenced to death by firing squad.

WWII Submarine Operations In The Pacific Revealed
