Synopsis: Shows liberation and British reoccupation of the Channel Islands. British warships steam into a Guernsey port. German troops march from a castle and lay down their arms. King George and Queen Elizabeth enplane in England and later deplane on Guernsey.
Bridge carrying tank is assembled and tested. The tank carries a bridge which is placed across a stream, crossed, and then loaded aboard the tank.
Australian troops land at Tarakan Island off east coast of Borneo. Island is pounded by British Liberator bombers and naval bombardment. London welcomes General Eisenhower. Gen. Eisenhower rides in a carriage through London streets, speaks to a large crowd. |
