Synopsis: In the Rocky Mountain West, one of our most important tree species is fading from the landscape. Quaking Aspen once covered almost nine million acres, now they cover less than four million acres. This program describes the unique biology of Aspen and how it is tied to its decline. For every acre of Aspen lost, so is a prime source of water, productive habitat for wildlife, a valuable source of livestock forage, and one of our most scenic treasures.
