Shows San Juan (P.R.) harbor & airport. Pan American Airways (PAA) Ford tri-motor plane lands. Tourists deplane. PAA flying boat pulls up to dock.
Streets, scenes, buildings, and ancient Spanish castle. Tourists stroll in gardens. Puerto Ricans play golf and tennis and watch a horse race, a cock fight, eat and dance at a sidewalk café and swim.
Shows the Spanish architecture in San Juan. Girls file out of a school and play basketball. Women work in a cigar factory and do needlework. Laborers gather sugar cane and truck it to a sugar refinery. Workers pick fruit. Children file into a room and sit down to eat. Includes views of dams, waterfalls, streams, and forests.

Men work at coffee plantation. Marketplace in Ponce, Slums in San Juan, churches, health clinic, schools. Children in orphanage, girls at summer camp, men at University of Puerto Rico, vocational training. Capitol building with U.S. flag on it.
