World Health Organization (WHO)
This story is a tribute to the nurse corp. of WHO. Shows dogs being inoculated or immunized against rabies. At a health station in Burma a nurse examines a baby. Baby care is demonstrated. Shows mobile x-ray unit in Turkey, nurse examines children, nurse gives children shots as parents watch.
Philippines Land Reform
Ramon Magsaysay offers land to the rebel Huks in the Philippines. Magsaysay elected president on the Nationalist Party ticket and continues land reform.
Harlem Globe Trotters
Shows the Harlem Globe Trotters at their best on the basketball court.
The Geneva Conference
In April 1954 the Geneva Conference addressed issues on Korea and Indochina. Shows French, Vietnamese, Cambodian, and Laotian soldiers fighting Communist. Shows harvest of rice in rice paddy.
In June 1950 North Korea attacks South Korea illustrated by artillery fighting at night. No other combat footage is shown. Shows signing of armistice at Pyongyang. China’s Chou En-lai greets Russian negotiator Molotov at airport. John Foster Dulles makes a short statement at the airport after deplaning.
