President Roosevelt signs the Emergency Banking Relief Act declaring "Banking Holidays" to stop the "run on banks" and mass withdrawals of bank deposits. Sign on bank building reads "Bank Holidays March 6,7,8, and 9, 1933. Shows police officers in front of a bank. The Senate passed President Roosevelt's banking measures, scenes of Congress in session.

Scenes of people and families listening to President Roosevelt's radio message on March 12, 1933. Shows President Roosevelt delivering radio message from the White House concerning America's financial system in the dark days of 1933. To instill confidence in banks and the financial system, and for the first time in history, scenes of the engraving and printing of United States currency (money) was filmed. President Roosevelt turned his attention to helping the farmer, the sheep herder, and the cattle rancher. Jobs were created in forestry, train loads of logs. Roosevelt signs repeal of 18th Amendment (prohibition), workmen cleaning up brewery, workmen brewing and bottling beer. Shows wagon loaded with barrels (kegs) of beer pulled by horses. Scenes of dance floor, couples (people) dancing, band playing at night club. Scenes of people going to their job and people at work in factories as prosperity returns to America.
