Synopsis: On July 26, 1948 President Harry Truman issued Executive Order 60 that provided for equality of treatment and opportunity in the United States Armed Forces without regard to race, color, religion, or national origin.

Singing of the Stars Spangled Banner and a benediction starts ceremony as Congress marks the racial integration of the U.S. Military with the appearance and remarks by Defense Secretary Robert Gates, GOP Leader John Boehner, House Democrat Whip Clyburn, Senate GOP Leader McConnell, Senator Harry Reid, Senate Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Srt William Perry and Captain Spencer Moore WWII Veterans of the 92nd Buffalo Division, and Colin Powell.
