German invasion of Russian occupied Lithuania in 1941. The Soviet Union under the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact had occupied this Baltic state in 1939. Hitler steps off plane and is driven to meet with German Field Marshall Keitel. Hitler and Keitel looks at map on table and make decisive plans to invade Russia. Buildings in Europe compared with views of misery and neglect within the borders of the USSR; people living in hovels; sick, emaciated, starving children; dilapidated buildings. Image of the G.P.U. "Palace" (prison). The Front: 2400 km; collaborationist troops: Italians, Hungarians, French, Danes, Norwegians, Croatians, the Flemish Legion, the Blue Spanish Legion.
