SEATO Operation Saddle-Up
Unedited footage “Operation Saddle-Up” a Southeast Asia Treaty Organization (SEATO) exercise in British North Borneo, June 1959. The USS Salisbury Sound visits Saigon,Vietnam. A combined landing force of U.S. Marines and British Sherwood Foresters took part in the landing, which was supported by ships and planes of the U.S. 7th Fleet and the British, Australian and New Zealand Navies.
