The Invasion Of Italy
From the shores of North Africa the United Nations Command launches the invasion of Sicily, codenamed Operation Husky. Scenes of the invasion fleet of over 3.000 ships crosses the Mediterranean Sea. Lt. General George S. Patton receives a new battle flag from Admiral Henry Kent Hewitt. Naval guns cover the landings as landing craft ferry troops to shore.
