In Chapter 5, titled The Palace of Horror, Flash Gordon and Roka narrowly escape Ming the Merciless’ Arena of Death, rescuing Dr. Zarkov and Dale Arden in the process. Their daring escape takes a dramatic turn as they commandeer Ming’s rocket ships and face fierce opposition. Amidst the action, Flash heroically rescues Roka from a burning vessel, but their victory is short-lived. Prince Barin’s rocket ship mistakenly opens fire, believing Flash’s ship to be an enemy.
