Allies In The Liberation Of Holland
The British 2nd Army advances in southern Holland using tanks and infantry. Shows British gun crews firing artillery guns (25 pounders). Shows British tank with Churchill mine flail FV3902 "toad" clearing roadway of mines. Mine clearing tank. British soldiers rescue Dutch civilians from fallen, burning shelters. British tank fires machine gun. Shows a Churchill Crocodile British flame-throwing tank. British troops fight to free Holland in WWII.
British Flying Boats Ferry Supplies In Burma
RAF Sunderland British Flying Boat in flight over Burma in WWII (WW2) delivering supplies to the Chindits (3rd Indian Infantry Division), the British India "Special Forces". Supplies are unloaded from the RAF Seaplane onto rafts fitted with motors. Wounded are transported to the RAF Seaplane by motorized raft for flight out of Burma to base hospital.
British aircraft carrier in the Indian Ocean steam toward Sumatra for attack on cement plant in Padang and Japanese ships in Emma Haven (Emmahaven) (Teluk Bayur). Planes are armed with 500lb. bombs. Planes take-off from British aircraft carrier. LS of plane landing on British aircraft carrier, CU as planes "noses over" on landing. F4U Corsair makes perfect landing on British Aircraft Carrier.
Gun camera footage from the 8th Air Force planes attacking Nazi positions in Europe. Shows several dramatic scenes of German Luftwaffe planes shot down in air-to-air combat, planes exploding in ball of fire, losing a wing and going into a rolling dive.
