Synopsis: This wartime documentary, directed by Captain John Huston while a member of the U.S. Army Signal Corp, is an official documentary about the mission of the U.S. forces based on Adak Island one of the Aleutian Islands. U.S. B-24 bombers used this base to attack the Japanese occupied island of Kiska.

In detailing the day-to-day activities of protecting Alaska's Aleutian Islands from Japanese attack and providing support of the bombing of Kiska, Huston concentrates on the personal element, stressing the courage under stress of the regular Joes assigned to Adak Island.

Footage of the construction of a military airfield, B-24 Liberator bombers, P-51 fighter planes, military equipment of different types, and the daily lives of military personnel living in the most remote outpost in World War II.
