Synopsis: American women answer the call and line up factory jobs manufacturing parts and other materiel for the war effort. Women manufacture superchargers for airplane motors. New workers report at the plant, are interviewed, assigned jobs, and receive uniforms. Trainees are instructed in the operation of types of machine tools including turret lathes, milling machines, grinders, and multiple drill presses. Women operate milling machines, lathes, grinders, tapping machines, punch presses, and hydraulic presses. Shows superchargers being crated and women's locker room facilities. |
