American troops prepare for a mission and advance through the jungle under fire from Japanese on a Southwest Pacific Island. Japanese booby traps located. Mortar squad firing mortars. American forces pinned down by enemy fire. Company Commanding Officer (C.O.) calls for tank support. Soldier fires BAR, Browning Automatic Rifle.

American tank advances through jungle. Point of view (pov) from inside tank. Tanks fire guns, troops with fixed bayonets follow closely behind M-4 tank. Tank advances followed by infantry. Ground radioman acting as eyes for tank. Another pov from inside tank. Soldier fires bazooka, soldiers throw hand grenades, Japanese soldier captured, Japanese POW, wounded American soldier supported by other soldiers.
