Synopsis: The arrival of the Norwegian Heavy Transport Ship M/V Blue Marlin carrying the damaged USS Cole (DDG 67) to a deep-water facility at Pier 4, Northrop Grumman Ship Systems, Litton Ingalls Shipyard in Pascagoula, Mississippi on December 13, 2000.

The USS Cole was being brought in for repairs after a terrorist attack in the Yemeni port of Aden on October 12, 2000 caused an explosion that killed 17 Sailors and injured another 39. Shots of a large tarp covering the portside 40-foot by 40-foot hole in the vessel’s portside.
