Synopsis: Documenting the involvement of U.S. Military Advisors, Special Forces, and Pilots in the war in Vietnam in 1964 and the difficulties of fighting a twilight war that was fought in shadows and stealth. It begins with a scene from December 1964 in which President Lyndon Johnson awarded Captain Roger Donlon the Medal of Honor for his heroism in Vietnam.

Scenes of military action involving South Vietnam soldiers, Vietnam civilians marching in protest, aftermath of terrorist bombings and Viet Cong attacks. American Military Advisors train the South Vietnam Soldiers and help construct public improvement projects.
