Synopsis: America quickly increased military production in WWII. New factories were built and smaller plants and machine shops converted to the production of parts and components necessary for the war effort. Industrialization of America, including the production of steel, was quickly increased. Shows construction of a new aircraft manufacturing and assembly plant, planes being assembled, aircraft engines being assembled and tested.
Small town machine shops put to work welding, grinding, milling, drilling, and boring components required to produce military weapons of defense. Footage of planes (aircraft) believed to be the Curtiss P-40 or P-46, PT Boats (motor torpedo boat) at full speed, testing of search lights, testing of new Army tanks. |
