Americans win new airbases in the South Pacific. Shows flight of United States bombers in flight. Shark’s teeth insignia (logo) painted on nose of one bomber. Los Negros Island at the tip of Manus Island in the Admiralty Islands is shelled by American warships. American troops land on Los Negros Island. Troops move through the jungle using rifle fire, hand grenades, artillery fire, and mortar fire. Bodies of dead Japanese soldiers. American wounded is carried on stretcher under fire. The Japanese airfield is captured and within hours American Seabees are at work repairing and making the airfield ready for U.S. bombers.
Jungle outposts in Burma get supplies by parachute. General Stilwell observes wounded troops being brought into a frontline field hospital. Shows Colonel Seagrave and his staff saving lives. Shows air drops of supplies by parachute from a Douglas C-47 cargo plane. Fijian troops on Bougainville are also supplied by parachute drops.
