General Mark Clark presides as men of the United States 5th Army receives naturalization papers and become legal U.S. citizens. Immigrants from many different countries and nationalities obtain American citizenship. Japanese-American 5th Army soldiers passes in review. The 100th Battalion of the 5th Army, composed entirely of Americans of Japanese descent, receive battle citation.

Sergio Osmena is sworn in as President of the Philippines by Justice Jackson. President Manuel Quezon's body is borne through Washington. D.C. to the Arlington National Cemetery and there interred. Shows casket draped with American flag on a horsedrawn caisson entering the gates at Arlington National Cemetery. Shows 21-gun rifle salute.

Marines land on Guam behind an aerial and naval bombardment. Shows barrels of large naval guns firing and the explosions as the shells hit targets on Guam. Shows sailors with shells loading naval guns. Marines on the landing craft and amphibian assault vehicles receive heavy fire approaching the beach (landing zone). Shows direct hit on a landing craft.
