Secretary of State Stettinius signs the Chapultepec Pact at the Inter-American Conference in Mexico City.

Navy planes from U.S. aircraft carriers attack the Tokyo area with rockets, bombs, and strafing of ground targets.

The U.S. 9th Army crosses the Rohr River in the drive into the heart of Germany. Shows destruction of German towns. German prisoners are marched with hands on head. General Eisenhower and General Simpson inspect Allied positions. Polish and Russian prisoners are freed from slave labor camp.
