Synopsis: Early development of Saudi Arabian oil fields and the construction of the crude oil pipeline from the oil fields of the Persian Gulf in the middle east across the Arabian Desert to the Mediterranean Sea. The pipeline was constructed by Bechtel International Corporation in the late 1940’s.
Scenes Include: Trans-Arabian Pipeline Company, Arabian American Oil Company, a slide rule, drafting table & plans, pipeline construction methods and equipment, camels, Bedouin camp, Aramco, dust storm (shamal or shumal, or shimal).
