Synopsis: Early in his second term in office, President Ronald Reagan gives a speech to the students of St. John's College. In this speech President Reagan remarks that “A government that is big enough to give you everything you want is more likely to take everything you have got”. Reagan also gives a preview of changes in government that he wishes to see, such as a simplified tax code, change in the tax base, and elimination of tax shelters. |
