Airline Strike Ends
After 43 days, air travel in the U.S. gets back to normal as machinists vote to return back to work. The five struck airlines carry sixty percent of the country's passenger traffic. It was the longest and costliest airline strike.

President Lyndon B. Johnson Makes A Five State Tour
In a whirlwind three days, President Lyndon B. Johnson tours five states and meets with Prime Minister Lester Pearson of Canada. Most of the stops include speeches in New York and New England. The Johnson-Pearson talks at Campobello, President Roosevelt's summer home, range over Vietnam, NATO, African affairs and economic matters.

Brazil Tops Portugal In Soccer Spectacular
An overflow crowd of 28,000 soccer fans sit in on a meeting between Santos of Brazil and Benfica of Portugal. Brazil's star, Pele, shows his skill with a 15 foot goal. His 17 year-old protege, Edu, scores twice, with Pele assisting.
