Synopsis:
Prior to the vote on HR 3997 The Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008, or referred to as the $700 billion Bailout Bill, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi gave a partisan speech blaming the economic crisis on the Bush Administration's failed economic policies. After the House vote failed, the stock market dropped 777 points, the largest single day point decline in history.
