January 4, 1945, brief scenes of the largest convoy in the history of the Pacific on way to invasion of Luzon, Philippine Islands . Animated map shows route of invasion convoy to landing at Luzon. On January 9, 1945, the American 6th Army lands on beachheads on the Lingayen Gulf of Luzon, Philippine Islands and were met by cheering Filipino natives. Japanese had pulled back into the mountains of Luzon. Shows Filipino guerrillas holding large American flag. Filipino guerrillas receive army clothes and weapons.

Excellent footage of forward air control team directing planes on bombing runs against Japanese positions in the mountains of Luzon. Shows aircraft making bombing runs, CU of Ground Controller talking on radio to pilot of aircraft giving target information. LS of aircraft making bombing runs and scenes of bomb explosions striking ground targets.
