Scenes of the people of Warsaw digging deep trenches across the streets and erecting trolley car rails as tank traps. Shows Polish Soldiers moving through the city in retreat. Warsaw was surrounded and under siege by the German Army. Shows a bridge over the Vistula River a major target of the Luftwaffe. Shows large craters blasted in the streets and buildings destroyed by bombs dropped by Luftwaffe dive bombers and fire from German artillery. Scenes of dead horses laying in the street. Polish civilians search the ruble of homes for family and friends. Shows people huddled together in groups trying to survive. Polish civilians in bread line as food becomes scarce.

Shows people moving their most prized possessions, man with large oil painting on his back and others carrying a piece of furniture. Shows wagon loaded with household goods and even a baby buggy filled with goods. Shows German planes diving low over Warsaw in attacks.
