MS taken from hangar deck as Grumman F9F Panther aircraft is lowered to hanger deck from flight deck. Excellent footage of a Vought F4U Corsair plane landing on aircraft carrier. Scenes of several F4U Corsair planes making approach and landing on USS Philippine Sea aircraft carrier. Helicopter in BG (rescue angel). Shows the Island of the USS Philippine Sea, ship surveillance radar antenna rotating and in operation. CU of USS Richard B. Anderson (DD-786) underway. Shows LSO (Landing Signal Officer) using "paddles" to communicate or signal aircraft making landing approach to aircraft carrier.
