On April 21, 1945 the 3rd Carpathian Rifle Brigade of the Polish 3rd Carpathian Infantry Division entered the Northern Italian town of Bologna, italy where only isolated German units were still fighting. Shows tanks of the 752nd Tank Battalion, U.S. 5th Army in Bologna, Italy . The Italian people welcomed the Poles and Americans as liberators. Shows two Polish, open top, TK tankettes moving through the city. Crowds of people jam the streets of Bologna as vehicles of the British 8th Army and American 5th army slowly moves through the crowded streets. Panning shots of the crowd.
