Unedited footage of the Luzon Japanese prisoner of war (LUPOW) camp #1 established near Mt. Makiling, Luzon, Philippines for Japanese POWs after the surrender of Japan in WWII. This footage is dated November 27, 1945.
Note: The U.S. Army established a Luzon Prisoner of War (LUPOW) Team consisting of 24 Nisei that had served in the U.S. military and assigned them to Camp #1 to screen and register Japanese prisoners, recording their names, birthplace, units, and place of capture or surrender, and to help run the camp.
