Famed Flying Tigers Merge With Army Air Force
The volunteers that became known as the "Flying Tigers" in China become part of the U.S. Army Air Force. Wings and insignias are presented to the airmen. Flying Tiger pilot R.T. Smith in cockpit of his plane. Japanese symbols (meatballs) painted on plane indicates 10- enemy planes shot down (kills). Flying Tiger Pilot C.H.
