Convicted War Criminal Japanese General Tomoyuki Yamashita Is Sentenced To Hang

Japanese General Yamashita know as the Tiger of Malaya takes the stand at a war crime trial in Manila. He is questioned and replies through an interpreter. The prosecuting attorney sums up his case and General Reynolds pronounces the death sentence (Dec. 7 1945); death by hanging. General Yamashita was hanged in Manila on February 23, 1946.
