Allies Offensive Drives Split Germany
Allied drives split German. Shows Allied infantry and tanks firing, scenes of heavy street fighting in Leipzig, Germany. Radio station and radio transmitting tower in Leipzig is taken undamaged. To the south Nuremburg lays in ruins and is in Allied hands. Flashback to 1932.

In the drive through the heart of Germany 12-German generals were captured.
In a salt mine in central Germany soldiers of the 3rd Army recover the German gold reserve and hidden art treasures. Shows gold bars and foreign currency. Several paintings (art treasures) stolen from art museums by the Nazis are found.
The German town of Stendhal surrenders to the Allied forces. Civilians are registered and the town put into working order. Crowds of Germans gather in the marketplace to hear Allied orders and read Allied Proclamation disbanding the Nazi Party, Nazi Laws and Institution. Uniforms and all weapons are turned in to Allied Forces. Shown attack on the German city of Magdeburg on the Elbe River. The city of Magdeburg Germany is bombed and blasted when the Nazis Garrison Commander rejected an offer to surrender. Allied Forces after linking up with the Russian Armies at Torgau continue their drive into Germany.
General George S. Patton Inspects Troops On Army Day In Coblenz
Army Day in Koblenz (Coblenz) Germany. At the Castle Ehrenbreitstein or Ehrenbreitstein Fortress near Koblenz Germany General Patton inspects troops. The Castle Ehrenbreitstein is also the scene of the raising of the first official American flag to fly over Germany after the defeat of Germany in WWII.
