New V-Mail Service Speeds Letters To U.S. Troops
New service speeds mail to American soldiers in all parts of the world. Shows GI wife writing a letter. Shows how V-mail is processed in American at a V-mail laboratory. Each letter to an American soldier is reduced to a thin strip of film to reduce size and weight. After arrival overseas the 16mm film containing the letters are enlarged, printed, censored, and placed in an envelop for delivery to the intended GI. Shows mail call and GI’s reading letters from home.
